For my undergraduate exhibition I build 9 plaster molds and slip cast 200 hollow spheres. The were presented, unfired, on pedestals for the viewer to pick up and place in aquariums filled with water. I built aluminum light boxes and attached them to the sides of the aquariums. This highlighted the process of slaking down clay, a process integral to every ceramic studio that often goes overlooked by artists and is unknown to those unfamiliar with clay.
